Instant Web Publishing provides direct access to FMP databases to search, edit, delete, and update records via a Web browser such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer--without the need for separate Web server software. Custom Web Publishing allows you to tie FileMaker databases to Web pages for collecting and sharing information&endash;&endash;without the need for separate CGI software. Claris Home Page 3.0's FileMaker Pro database Assistant makes creating dynamic, FileMaker Pro-connected Web pages a breeze.

  (2) Import Excel files: FileMaker Pro 4.0 is the perfect complement to Microsoft Office. Simply drag any Excel document icon onto the FMP program icon, and the Excel file automatically becomes a FileMaker Pro database. FileMaker Pro also creates databases using raw data from other spreadsheets, word processors, and databases.
